Technical Discussion Groups
RESCUE PRESS has established a scientific management committee consisting of multiple recognised professional disciplines, which is tasked with overseeing the work activities. At the same time, we decided to give the right amount of space to each of these disciplines by creating technical sub-committees: mini-groups in which those specialising in specific activities can better develop their texts and evaluate the submitted editorial content more independently
“It makes no difference whether you’re the son of the Queen or of an Afghan refugee. Here, nobody gets left behind.” A dear friend of mine who’s a military nurse said that to me many years ago after returning from a mission abroad, and it really struck a chord with me. The Latin phrase is NEMO RESIDEO.
Today, the same concept is applied in an ambulance. Because on a rescue team, no one gets left behind. Even if the work performed in relation to the injured person or the patient is different, the basic concept remains the same: despite their different responsibilities, everyone is “equal”. Everyone is working for the same cause, sharing information and addressing doubts, problems and ideas without any preconceptions, learning from those who have greater knowledge, trying out different things when what they know does not work, and leaving room for those who have the solutions and the appropriate skills to tackle the situation at hand. Therefore, not only should nobody be left behind physically, but also in terms of training. That’s why our motto is SINE INSTITUTIONE NEMO: we believe that everyone should have the same opportunities to train and improve.
In order to do this, RESCUE PRESS has established a scientific management committee consisting of multiple recognised professional disciplines, which is tasked with overseeing the work activities. At the same time, we decided to give the right amount of space to each of these disciplines by creating technical sub-committees: mini-groups in which those specialising in specific activities can better develop their texts and evaluate the submitted editorial content more independently.
